Dear Prof. Dr. Feliciano Garcia,

Your details have recently been passed onto me by the IWA after hearing your presentation at the recent desalination conference in Tenerife.

The IWA are involved, as is my company, with promoting the Prince Sultan International Prize for Water. This new Prize is intended to reward the efforts undertaken by innovative scholars and scientists as well as applied organisations in the realm of water resources world wide. The Prize aims to advance research dedicated to solve the problems associated with the provision as well as the preservation of adequate and sustainable water resources, particularly in arid regions.

An amount of US$133,000 is to be awarded in each of the five areas:
1. Surface Water
2. Ground Water
3. Alternative (non-traditional) Water Resources
4. Water Resources Management
5. Protection of Water Resources

Both the IWA and ourselves feel that your feasibility study for a desalination station through wind power energy would be a perfect nomination for the prize and would recommend that you apply.
